| Comments: I noticed in the gallery ACE 649B, which I owned around 1989. It was Cooper engined at the time so fairly quick.
I guess like many of them it tended to overheat on long Motorway runs and the only way to dissipate the heat was to turn the heater on to full
fan and open the windows!! It was generally a great car and only the arrival of a second child meant it had to go. I sold it to somebody who
lived near Staines who ran a Transport business and had a collection of Minis and Mini derivatives. Looks as though it might still be around.
We think the car is now in Japan. Cooling problems can usually be overcome with a good front radiator installation. -RP | |

| Comments: Persuaded Col. Andy Seward to sell me 270 DGJ, which
is being made roadworthy prior to a total restoration. The body colour has changed somewhat since my stewardship, and I
wonder if anybody can confirm the paint code YL7 for BMC marigold as a standard colour for Mini Vans in the 60's.
Downton Engineering's van was this colour and they called their van Marigold!

| Comments: I built the Berkeley you have listed as a Bandera. I called
it a Bandini after one of Count Lurani Cernusci's Successful 1959 Mini Milla Miglia drivers. It was one of aound 8 Berkeley
conversions, some 3-w and some 4-w. The threes were more stable than the fours. The last car I built was a ground-up
redesign using a 1275 GT engine. This is still in my posession and you are welcome to pictures for your gallery.

| Comments: Hi, I’ll cut to the chase. I`ve got a Mini Jem shell I must dispose of. According to
info from you guys its a High Performance Moulding one. It’s also registered on W plate and I have log book.
It’s completely bare shell and has been abused somewhat but worth rescuing. For reasons beyond my control it’s
got to go, and quickly. Any offer wil be accepted, any offer rather than see it destroyed. Its currently residing in the
north-east of England. SOS, save our shell!!
According to the photos it's a Mk.1 shell, but we've arranged a rescue. Thanks for getting in touch. -RP | |

| Comments: I built a Mini Jem in 1972, reg. no VWF 706J. It was bright yellow with black bonnet and rear
panel, E-type headlamp perspex covers and Corbeau GT6 seats. Lamps,wiring and battery were all Hillman Imp. Does this
vehicle still exist? If you have any record of it I would be pleased to know where it ended up.

| Comments: I am appealing again for any information to the whereabouts of Mini Marcos KFC 407 F which I
built in 1967. A mk111 with notched wheel arches. Chassis no. 7204. Last week out of the blue the second owner contacted
me, he sold the car in 1974/75 in grey primer (it was Aston Martin dubonet red)to somebody in the Stroud area. According
to DVLA records it was last known in 1985 and Yellow.

You can use a Mini wiring loom but you need to extend some wires for the rear lights and dashboard instruments. You also need to add earth wires for some components mounted on fibreglass. -RP | |

| Comments: Hi, I currently own a fab little green soft-top mini but I'm looking for a project Marcos,
one that has just the good condition body. Not worried about the mechanicals. I was thinking of upgrading lots of things
on a Marcos I would own anyway, to make it a comfy everyday-ish car.
Anyway, my question is, where is the best place to source one? I would buy a new shell but I dont have 5k to spend on one! The usual answer: a) join the club, b) join the forum, c) keep an eye on ebay. You can certainly use a Mini Marcos as an everyday car. | |

| Comments: I built a hatch way way back in 1971 reg no CRE 101K, aubergine and sadly had to part with it.
All I have left is a few brilliant memories, old photos plus a Corgi model - ha ha! I hope it went to a good home and
would love to hear any history. It was quite quick and looked really cool with its special surfboard roofrack !!

| Comments: I owned an Irish Mini Marcos in the late 80s until 1991. Chassis number MI3 reg Q816 AFG.
When bought from Bournemouth(?) it was only just been made road legal, it had a roll cage(bar)and a 1098cc engine.
I fitted an interior and used until '91 when I sold it to a dealer who I believe sold it to Japan. It had the same
squared off wheelarch extensions as another Irish car. Gelcoat was light blue, but it was resprayed red.

with information on Domino Pimlicos? I have just bought one, and would like to know a bit more about their history, and
number produced (by Fibertech). Mine was (apparently) the third one made, and the first one sold, but outside that, I
don't know much more. I have tried (repeatedly) to get in touch with the Domino owners club, both by e-mail and by 'phone,
but to no avail. Your site is the only site that has pictures of Pimlicos. Any advice or information greatly appreciated,

We have one in our shop 1960 1 owner with wicker seats we are trying to convince the owner to do a full resto.

According to Filby fewer than 20 were made at Longbridge, mostly for hotels, so it's likely that most of them were scrapped. The opportunity to restore one shouldn't be missed. -RP | |
