Jim Wyse writes: “This is a photo from about 1972/3, of my Mini Marcos KFC 407F. It started life as an 850cc Mini van, but I replaced the motor with an MG 1100 unit, then swapped the twin SU carbs for a Weber 45DCOE (I think). This prompted a swift upgrade of the brakes!

“I last saw it in Stroud, Glosc., in 1974, sporting a natty grey primer as I couldn’t find the time to finish repainting, and sold it!”

The lower photo shows the car sporting a blue Hammerite paint job in around 1975.
