This much modified Mk. 1 modsports/hillclimb Mini Marcos one belonged to Bank Garage Minis in Christchurch, Cambridgeshire. It is seen here at the Mini@40 celebration at Silverstone in August 1999 with a price tag of £6,000. There were no takers! The car has recently been acquired by the current owner as a rolling chassis and is to be restored to 1960s racing spec. (photo: R. Porter)
